The Princess Royal Trust for Carers was created on the initiative of HRH The Princess Royal in 1991. At that time people caring at home for family members or friends with disabilities and chronic illnesses were scarcely recognised as requiring support.

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK. Through its unique network of 144 independently managed Carers' Centres , 85 young carers services and interactive websites, www.carers.org and www.youngcarers.net, The Trust currently provides quality information, advice and support services to almost 354,000 carers, including over 20,000 young carers. Allied Motorsport are proud to support the Princess Royal Trust for Carers. Richard and Andy will be carrying the charity's logo on their cars throughout the 2009 season.

ASBAH offers its services to the whole spectrum of those affected by, or with an interest in, hydrocephalus or spina bifida from before birth (with advice and support, whether or not the pregnancy continues), during childhood and right through adult life.

Their work is financed by voluntary donations, trading activities and grants from charitable and corporate trusts. They deeply appreciate the goodwill and generosity of the many individuals, community groups and companies who make it possible for them to work as a centre of excellence in their field. They work in partnership with a network of independent affiliated Local Associations to share information and promote good practice, and also to deliver a range of high-quality support and specialist services.
